Anti-Patriotism Means Global Compassion!

"To destroy war, destroy patriotism."
-Leo Tolstoy

I believe that the cause of war is patriotism. All patriotism does is foster a "them" and "me" attitude. Instead of pledging our loyalty to one specific country, we should develop a love for the world as a whole. After all, we do live in a global society. What happens in one part of the world has a ripple effect on the entire Earth. We need to be willing to help and serve humanity as a whole, not just the country we happen to have been born in.

Anti-patriotism does not mean terrorism and it does not mean hatred. On the contrary, it means possessing compassion for all countries and people on the globe. Instead of pledging allegiance to one specific nation, one should vow to help all humans.
